MPD District 3 Station and Communications/Data Center
$30 Million new construction of a police station and data communications center. (Website)
Project Description:
This project was built in a prominent location near the diagonal intersection of Lisbon and North Avenue on Milwaukee’s west side. Under its roof it consolidates the city’s emergency services into one unit. The constructed building, places the renovated police station and detention area on the first floor. On the second and third floors the police department/fire dispatch office found, along with the city’s 911 emergency call/data center. The renovation of the building consists of its 4 story, 110,000 square feet, structure and precast parking cage attached to all of the centers levels. The first level parking is enclosed and stationed for police vehicles. The building has a brick base and aluminum panels at upper levels of the cast. To soften the look of the building, a curve metal roof cantilevers over the buildings perimeter.
