The Kenilworth Building
Project Summary:

$68 Million, 500,000 square foot redevelopment for University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee student housing, parking, administration, and the Peck School of the Arts.

Project Description:

Once the acclaimed former Ford Model-T Factory, UW-Milwaukee has regenerated this antique building to house approximately 370 students in their 173 apartment complex. The newly designed building is scheduled to open August 20, 2006. At Street level, the façade is flowered with a beautiful landscape which separates it from the Peck School of Arts. Within the facility, its interior visibly preserves the original columns of the early 1900s which supports the building. Kenilworth’s design differs on the each floor to create its own unique touch of the old and the new. On the third, fourth, and fifth floors, ceilings are tall as 14 feet and have large raised windows to accent a panoramic view of the city. At the base of the building there is retail space.
